I blend my background in marine biology as a seaweed scientist with my artistic expression inspired by surfing, creating cyanotypes and seaweed pressings that capture the beauty of the ocean. I learned how to create cyanotypes and pressings as a way to study and collect marine specimens. Each art piece communicates and celebrates marine botany, natural history, and phycology (the study of marine plants).
